Dragon morph field guide
Every morph you can hatch in Dragonbred today, 29 in all: its photograph, its grade, how it is inherited and the odds of breeding it, worked out by the game's own odds engine.
Colour · 7
Change the body itself, the bottom layer of every dragon.
Pattern · 5
Each works one part of the markings: their layout, their shape or how many there are.
White · 1
Bright patches laid over everything below them.
Accent · 15
Extras of their own that never move the main markings, so they stack with every other gene.
Element · 1
What the markings are made of. The body keeps its colour, so every colour gets its own version.
How the layers stack
A dragon's look is built in layers, from the body's colour up through its pattern, white patches and accents to the element that fills its markings. Morphs on different layers stack on one dragon, so an Albino can show a pattern, an accent and an element at once, and each gene keeps doing its own job.
Dragonbred is a free dragon breeding game built on real genetics. New to it? Dragon Genetics 101 explains the rules, and the morph guide sets every morph side by side.
