What a Blue Dots dragon looks like
Blue Dots is an incomplete dominant accent morph, graded Rare, a step above the Uncommon one copy of a simple gene usually gets.
Accent genes add something of their own without moving the main markings, so Blue Dots stacks with every other gene.
Nothing in the game today hides Blue Dots: a dragon with the gene always shows it.
How to breed a Blue Dots dragon
Blue Dots is incomplete dominant: one copy of the gene shows Blue Dots, and two copies show its super form, Super Blue Dots. A Blue Dots passes the gene to half its babies.
Because one copy and two look different, a dragon's look tells you what it carries: a Blue Dots has one copy, a Super Blue Dots two, and a Normal none. There are no hets to prove.
Pair two Blue Dots dragons and 25% of the eggs are Super Blue Dots; a Super Blue Dots paired with a Normal gives a Blue Dots in every egg. For the Punnett square behind these numbers, see how to read breeding odds.
Where to get a Blue Dots dragon
Blue Dots turns up in crate dragons. In the pool of genes every crate draws from, the Blue Dots gene comes up at a rate of 6%; the Iron Crate turns that up 2.3 times and the Lava Crate 4 times. How often a crate dragon shows any morph at all depends on the crate: 8% in the Wooden Crate, 35% in the Iron Crate and 70% in the Lava Crate.
